Africa pandemic resilience

The Africa Pandemic Resilience campaign aims to mainstream the views of African citizens in the conversations around pandemic preparedness and continental health security, and see a new public health order take a more prominent role in policymaking at a continental, national, and local level.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgent need to address weak health systems and the inequity that surrounds access to medical technologies such as diagnostics, vaccines, medicines, and supplies of oxygen and more.

Future Africa Forum envision a world where Africans are given the fundamental right to participate in the decision-making processes that affect their future. But the reality is that much of the discussions around the lack of PPE, medical supply chains and local manufacturing in the global south happen only among technocrats. Where these discussions do occur outside policy circles, there is great misinformation.

Future Africa Forum is uniquely positioned to research, implement and amplify tangible and sustainable solutions that tackle these challenges by drawing from our deep network of young African experts.
