Dolapo Folasade Adeyanju is a Future Africa Forum contributor and expert. Dolapo Folasade Adeyanju, a Nigerian national, is a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Nigeria. Prior to this position, she worked as a Research Fellow with the Institute to conduct quantitative research on the state of youth engagement in agribusiness in Africa, under the “Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence” project funded by the International Funds for Agricultural Development (IFAD) – a project which generated useful evidence that informed practical policies on youth agribusiness development in Africa. She has also collaborated with researchers from Kenya, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ghana to conduct research in the field of food security, climate change, and rural development. With her vast experience in agricultural research, Dolapo seeks to contribute to policy discussions in the area of youth and women empowerment, agripreneurship development, and food security in Africa. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
