We go beyond ideas
Future Africa Forum partners with organizations that want to create positive change across the continent. By co-creating with us or supporting our research, our partners benefit from our ability to engage African leaders and citizens, and gain access to our experts and Fellows who specialize in a wide range of issues that affect the continent.
Our approach is both holistic and collaborative and sees us engage with partners across the public and private sectors throughout the entire journey, from research, and all the way through to implementation. By being part of a project from beginning to end, Future Africa Forum can move quickly with focus and avoid unnecessary learning curves. It also means that we are best placed to recommend further strategic stakeholders and leverage upon our network.
Depending on the project at hand, Future Africa Forum builds and shapes teams of experts accordingly and goes through a process of identifying the challenge, exploring ways in which to address it and deciphering the result.

Our “aha” moment
Because of the work of Future Africa Forum and our ability to convene young African thought-leaders, we found that organizations were approaching us to partner on initiatives that engaged young people. This was an “aha” moment for us and led us to shift our thinking beyond ideas.
Today, Future Africa Forum takes on big tasks that we know will create measurable and sustainable impact and build the future of Africa.
If you are an organization looking to push the boundaries of thinking across the continent, then we would like to hear from you.
Case studies

Youth involvement in combating NTDs
Future Africa Forum was mandated by Uniting to Combat NTDs to build the first global youth community on NTDs. Since its establishment, the initiative, Youth Combating NTDs, has managed to carry out several policy advocacy initiatives which include, informing the World Health Organization’s contribution to the inclusion of youth in their 2021-2030 NTD roadmap.
During this collaboration with WHO, Future Africa Forum curated the youth-focused iteration of WHO’s NTD webinar series, titled ‘How can the youth advocate for and contribute to achieving targets envisaged in the 2030 NTD road map?’ The event also featured a special message from the Director General of the WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. This initiative has led to collaborations with several youth organizations within the policy space, including Y7 (the G7 youth network) and the Southern Africa Youth Forum (the Southern African Development Community youth network).

Pandemic Action Network
Following Future Africa Forum’s policy brief on ‘Africa Beyond Covid-19’, a partnership was formed with Pandemic Action Network, an organization focused on ensuring countries are better prepared to prevent, detect and respond to pandemic threats. Pandemic Action Network, a collaboration of over 250 global multi-sector organizations, tasked Future Africa Forum with shaping their African response.
The partnership was established to research, implement and amplify solutions to pandemic preparedness and response and health security issues affecting the continent. Together, the two organizations have formed the Africa Pandemic Resilience initiative, which aims to mobilize resources, partnerships and political will toward achieving concrete action and investment. The initiative will include a set of policy briefs with key recommendations for policymakers, reports and a series of events to engage high-level stakeholders and convene implementation partners around concrete commitments.
