Oliver O. Okumu is a Future Africa Forum contributor and expert. Oliver O. Okumu has a PhD and MSc in crop protection and BSc in general agriculture from the University of Nairobi. He has taught various courses such as introduction to plant pathology, bacteriology, microbiology and mycology to both undergraduate and diploma students. He has also worked on various projects notably ‘mycotoxin projects’ and has also consulted for the Coffee research foundation on the use of biological microorganisms used in the management of coffee diseases. Currently, his work involves efficacy trials of pheromones use in the management of Fall armyworm.
