Ndey Anta Taal is a Future Africa Forum contributor and expert. Anta is a Principal Economist with 10 years of professional experience in International Development, Trade and Investments, Public Private Partnerships and Capital Market Development. She is currently a Mo Ibrahim Fellow attached to the International Trade Centre. Previously Anta has worked for the Ministries of Finance and Economic Affairs; Trade, Industry and Employment and Economic Planning and Industrial Development in the Gambia. Most of her work in government focuses on policy analysis and development; policy dialogue and coordination; as well as research in the area of Trade and Private Sector Development, Public Private Partnership, Support for SMEs, and Infrastructure Development.

Anta has represented The Gambia in key negotiations in the areas of energy, infrastructure and petroleum sectors and has been one of the pioneers of key reforms in the West African country.
