In this episode, we will be discussing the current race for Director General (DG) of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and consider what it means for Africa. With the WTO at a crossroad, we will examine how a new DG could usher in the reform of the organisation and potentially lead to a “reset” of the multilateral trading system. With this in mind, we will also touch on Africa’s participation at the WTO and look at some of the challenges these countries face within the organisation.
